Where We Ship To:
We only ship to Canadian addresses. We ship to the 10 provinces specifically and your order’s shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. We reserve the right to refund your order for locations within our designated shipping areas that are deemed remote, including islands and or destinations which are cost prohibitive and are deemed as areas subject to extended area surcharges. Free shipping will not be honored in these remote serviced areas. You will be contacted if there are any issues with shipping to your location.
NWT, Yukon, Labrador, etc.
We are not able to calculate the cost of shipments to the Territories at checkout. Please email us for a quote on shipping costs. Please include your full address along with a complete list of item(s) you are ordering. We will be able to quote your order based on your location. Please also feel free to include any details/experience as to how you may presently receive shipments. Generally we will be able to ship to the nearest town or city (include this address if applicable).
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the cubic size/weight of your products and your shipping location’s postal code. Our shipping calculator will pack your items and calculate the costs based on your specific locations postal code. Before the final checkout page you will be shown the cost of shipping to your location. You may then proceed with your order and complete shipping information and payment at checkout. We reserve the right to change the original shipping method quoted when you placed your order. to a different method of our choice whether it be a different Courier, Canada Post or LTL carrier.
How we lower shipping costs.
Your order will be processed and shipped direct from either warehouse location in Alberta and Ontario. We are able to pass on the savings with low-cost shipping. Our goal is to offer low shipping rates across Canada to your location.
How YOU CAN LOWER SHIPPING COSTS in remote/rural locations.
Couriers quote shipping based on package size & your postal code. If your in a remote location it is always best to ship to the nearest town and pick it up. We have seen price differences upwards of $100 to your home just outside of the nearest town’s local courier agent location. We find in rural areas courier drivers often drop packages at the local agent – yet you will still incur the extra shipping costs you paid with your order. We have found on many occasions, it is best to ship direct to your work, relative or courier agent’s address then using your home address (postal code). You can find your shipping cost before checkout by entering your postal code vs an “in town” postal code. On checkout you can enter a different shipping location from your billing location (home address).
Couriers & LTL Freight
We may use any of the following carriers at our discretion for shipping: Canada Post, Canpar, Purolator, UPS, TST Overland, Day & Ross, Manitoulin & various other LTL Freight Trucking and or Couriers. If it is more efficient to ship your order by pallet we may use LTL freight services (skid) to ship your order. You may need to arrange local pickup at your local freight provider as tailgate delivery may incur additional costs by your local provider.
Minimum Purchase Order Amount
We have a minimum order purchase amount of $150. With processing of orders and shipping costs our overhead costs are maintained.
Free Shipping Level
If free shipping is an available option with your order we reserve the right to ship your order at our discretion with any of the shipping providers we may use for the size of your order based on your location. Your shipment may be shipped by Canada Post, Courier or LTL Freight or a combination there of.
Remote Areas – If your order includes free shipping we reserve the right to refund your order if shipping costs are prohibitive to your specific location. We will try to ship your items to the nearest courier agent location if possible. You may be required to pick your items up at this location.
FarmFencing.ca will contact you if there are any issues with free shipping to your location. Our Free Shipping provincial levels may change at anytime we may deem necessary.
Time to Ship Your Order
All orders are shipped within 3-5 business days upon receiving your order. If your order contains an item on backorder we may either refund this item or hold your order to ship complete. In either case we will contact you directly if there is an issue with your order. Business Hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
Holiday Season Closure – From December 24th to January 2nd your orders will be placed, but your order will be shipped following the holiday closure.
Receiving Your Order – Shared Responsibity
We feel this is a shared responsibilty to some extent. Once you receive tracking information from our website, you should keep track of its progression until you finally receive it. For shipments made to remote areas, your package(s) may be dropped off at a local Purolator Agent/Centre.
This can occur when;
1. no one is home to receive the package
2. some remote areas there is no home delivery option available.
If they tried home delivery and no one was home to receive the package, normally there will be a note left indicating whether they will retry delivery next day OR where you may need to pick up your package(s). Upon local agent dropoff, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP YOUR PACKAGE within 5 business days. If there is a problem to do so, contact the courier directly as per the courier note instruction-if given or CALL US so we can help you sort the issue out.
If you do not pick up your package,
Ultimately it will be eventually returned to our warehouse. With a “neglected-return-order”, FarmFencing.ca will incur shipping and return shipping costs, processing fees and restocking charges from the warehouse. At our discretion, all shipping costs and an 18% restocking fee will be charged with this type of return. As you surely can understand, we are only trying to recoup the outside costs associated with the original purchase when the order was placed.
